Camp out at South Africa's

Those who have booked a holiday to South Africa and are fans of acoustic music may want head to Drakensberg during September.

Located near to the Giant's Castle Nature Reserve, the White Mountain Folk Festival will see more than 40 acts take to the stage, WhatsOnWhen reported.

The only acoustic music festival in KwaZulu-Natal, the main marquee stage is set around a pool in Tom's Tavern - which is 150 years old.

Other activities will also accompany the event and promise to keep attendees entertained.

Visitors may also be able to take part in paintballing, abseiling, take helicopter rides or as let the children join in "fun-filled" games.

Last year, acts included artists such as John Ellis of Tree63, Syd Kitchen and Prime Circle.

Families on holiday in South Africa can choose to stay at the event as a range of accommodation is available, from caravans to chalets.

Those who have booked a flight to Johannesburg or Durban will be able to reach the festival on tarmac roads.
