The land of the Kiwis is already buzzing with Rugby fans and with the banning of ‘vuvuzelas’ (a kind of horns) from the venues of Rugby Tri Nations Test the sound of celebration may be lessened a bit but not the excitement of the fans.
For the Rugby fans and visitors to New Zealand, their excitement is likely to spill over to Queenstown, the adventure capital of the world. For adventure seekers the news that there would be more flights to New Zealand is perhaps sweeter than music.
Queenstown’s cosmopolitan culture, delicious cuisine, intoxicating wine and exhilarating alpine beauty add a dash of soothing pleasure to its limitless hormone shooting activities such as bungy jumping, skiing or snowboarding, paragliding, jet boating, white water rafting, skydiving, hang gliding, jet skiing, and driving quadbikes.
For those who want spiritual rejuvenation they can just sit back and gaze at the shimmering snow topped mountains, drink in the view of the mysterious Lake Wakatipu and delight in birding at Fiordland National Park.
To increase tourist traffic in Queensland Jetstar has come up with the strategy to operate more flights to Queenstown from Melbourne and Gold Coast from mid-December at competitive prices. They are anticipating more Aussie and Japanese tourists to this land of hospitable Kiwis. The other players who will operate additional flights to Queensland this summer are Air New Zealand, Qantas and Pacific Blue.
