Offering added
tickets on flights running on Colombo-Dubai route, Emirates, the Dubai based carrier is launching
three more flights per week from 30th June 2013. The rise in the
number of flights highlights the increasing demand for air travel tickets to
and from the Sri Lankan capital.
The full-service
carrier will offer tickets for three more weekly services scheduled to run on
Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays. It will increase the number of flights to four
each day on those days, enhancing the total count to 31 flights per week.
The airline will ply Boeing
777-300ER aircraft and provide tickets for two class configuration. The additional
services will contribute to extra tickets option for 126 Business and 1,158
Economy Class seats each way per week on the route.
Fliers booking tickets for Dubai-Colombo
sector can draw advantages from airline’s unbeatable ice entertainment
system with 1,400 channels, on-demand entertainment options like movies, TV programmes,
games, audio books and music. In addition, they can also enjoy extra baggage
allowance of 30kg in Economy and 40 kg in Business Class. The additional
flights will bring more privileges for members of the Skywards frequent flyer
programme.
With everything considered, it is
believed that enhanced frequency would do good to both business as well as
leisure travellers who seek tickets for flying on the route.
According to the schedule, the additional
Dubai – Colombo
flight EK 654 will depart Dubai at 0645 hrs and
arrive in Colombo
at 1245 hrs. The return flight, EK 655 will depart Colombo
at 1410 hrs and arrive in Dubai
at 1655 hrs.
